Q. What is OCP?
Ans. OCP stands for Oracle Certified Professional, this is a kind of certificate from Oracle, when you pass the exams for a particular track available as :
Oracle Database Administrator.
Oracle Application Developer.
Oracle Forms and PL/SQL.
Oracle WebLogic.

You can go for either OCA, OCP or OCM.
This certification give you a balance between doing and learning.

Q. How hard are the exams?
Ans. It depends on your knowledge and preparations. If you are well prepared it is quite easy. If you don't, they are quite hard.

Q. How do I prepare for the exams?
Ans. First you should identify your certification path, then prepare for exam, schedule and complete the exam and complete your certification.

Q. Where can i go for these exams?
Ans. Exams are of two type for oracle certification: one is proctored and another one is non-proctored.
Non-proctored exams are available online and you can go for this from any where you have internet.
Proctored exams are offered at Pearson VUE testing centers and some are offered at Oracle University training locations in some regions.

Note: To schedule an exam on Pearson VUE testing centers, you need to create an id on www.pearsonvue.com/oracle prior one day of exam day.

Q. What is the format of the certification exams?
Ans. All the exams are completely objective type, either multiple choice, fill in the missing word or match these against those.

Q. Is question answered wrong be marked negatively?
Ans. No. There is no negative marking so you can guess the answers.

Q. How to register for an exam?
Ans. Go to www.pearsonvue.com/oracle and create your id first(this will generate your Oracle Testing ID) after 24 hrs follow bellow steps.
Go to www.pearsonvue.com/oracle
Select Schedule a Test.
Select Proctored.
Sign In.
Select the check box next to the exam you'd like to take.
Select language and click Next.
Choose testing center near you by defining the search criteria.
Choose date and an available appointment time and click Select Appointment.
Click Next.
Review your appointment details to be sure that they are correct.
On the next screen you will need to enter payment information. Payment of exam fee can be done by any major credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Switch Cards) .
If all information is correct, select Confirm Order.
You will also receive a confirmation email for this.

Q. What are the req's that a candidate should have to write this OCA?
Ans. Nothing is prerequisite, you can start from the first paper on whatever track you want go either DBA or Developer.

Q. which study materials should i refer to?
Ans. Actually several guides are there in market now, but Sybase publication is best for study and you can join oraclecertification@googlegroups.com where we are going to start publishing the material sooooooon.
